Ottawa, March 6, 2023 – On March 10th, 2023, Tibetans around the world will commemorate the Tibetan National Uprising Day, marking 64 years since thousands of Tibetans were killed while peacefully expressing their devotion to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and their unease with Chinese policies in Tibet after its illegal invasion. In Canada, Tibetans and their supporters will hold rallies in four major cities: Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Toronto. These events aim to raise awareness about the ongoing human rights abuses in Tibet and to show solidarity with the Tibetan people.
